Welcome

I was born in South Africa and enjoyed the diversity of the african, asian and european cultures that surrounded us despite the politics of the time. My family have always been immersed in creative arts of all kind including visual, performing arts and written word.

My journey has been predominantly science based, and despite a strong creative urge I had not pursued art as a career. A life without art and creative expression is unfulfilled in my experience so pursuing this new path was inevitable.

Thanks to the world wide web and social media platforms, we are able to learn about anything these days so following and learning from other artists along with the more traditional trips to exhibitions and art literature has enabled me to continue to grow my skills and knowledge base.

I hope that this site is an inspiration to other artists especially those who are self taught and coming to this later in life.
